Ivy Funds #2 in Barron’s 5-Year Ranking of "Best Mutual Fund Families"

For the second year in a row, Ivy Funds are near the top of the "Best Mutual Fund Families" over the last five years in an annual ranking published by Barron's. The broad rankings, which only include fund families with representation across five asset categories, placed Ivy Funds second over the five year period ended 12/31/09, out of 54 ranked families. Last year Ivy Funds ranked third over the five year period ended 12/31/08, out of 53 families.

Only a limited number of families were ranked, since Barron's emphasizes a broad purview. Its rankings are based on asset-weighted returns in five categories: domestic equity, world equity (including international and global portfolios), mixed equity (stocks and bonds), taxable bonds and tax exempt funds. Rankings also take into account an individual fund's performance within its Lipper peer group. Visit www.barrons.com to view the most recent Barron's "Best Mutual Fund Families" report.
